Neo Ranga ( Jap. 南海奇皇ネオランガ , Nankai Kio Neoranga ) is an anime - television series from 1998.

action

The three orphan sisters Yūhi, Ushio and Minami Shimahara live together in an apartment in Tokyo . There they are visited by a messenger from the kingdom of a fictional island in the South Pacific called Barō . The messenger tells them about their brother, who married into the royal family there. Since he has now died, the three young women are now the rightful rulers of the kingdom. For this reason, she is now protected by the god of the island Neo Ranga , who, after waking up on the island, sets off for Tokyo. There he wreaked havoc when the Jieitai tried to fend off him.

Publication of the anime

The anime was produced in 1998 by Pierrot Studio , directed by Jun Kamiya , and written by Shō Aikawa . The character design is by Hiroto Tanaka and the artistic director was Yuji Ikeda. The series was broadcast in Japan on the channel WOWOW together with the series Mini-Göttinnen and Maico 2010 in the format Anime Complex . The broadcast ran from April 6 to September 28, 1998.

In Italy the series was released on VHS cassettes, while the series was released on DVD in the USA by the licensee ADV Films from 2003 onwards. In Spain , the series is currently being broadcast on TVCi in the format of the 3xl.net program. The series has also been translated into French.

The music for the series was composed by Kuniaki Haishima . The opening credits are Kaze no Nemuru Shima by Miyamura Yuko, Sumitomo Yuko and Sendai Eri, and Kami to Nare by Kuniaki Haishima.
