Subscapular nerve
The subscapular nerve (" subscapular nerve ") is a nerve of the brachial plexus . In humans it has its roots in the spinal cord between the 5th and 7th neck segment (C5-C7), in domestic animals in C6-C8. In domestic animals, it is usually split into several branches ( Nervi subscapulares ).
The subscapularis nerve provides motor innervation to the subscapularis muscle , and in humans to some extent also to the teres major muscle .
