NetObjects Fusion is an HTML generator the now standalone same company NetObjects Incorporated, which according to the WYSIWYG working principle and for Windows - operating systems is offered. Due to its easy handling and its relatively large range of functions, it is primarily suitable for beginners. The application works template-controlled and is therefore extremely flexible.
Complete website projects can be created in NetObjects Fusion, but existing websites can only be imported to a limited extent. External HTML pages can be integrated. Depending on the version, your own HTML code can usually be included in your own project at any point. Dynamic content can be used. Experienced users can integrate their own PHP insertions and complex databases. However, NetObjects Fusion is not an HTML editor in the traditional sense, because the actual output of the page is only generated in the last stage of editing (publishing).
One advantage of this authoring program is that the user does not need any HTML knowledge to create websites. One disadvantage is that the current version does not support responsive web design either, such as many templates for content management systems . Critics criticize the sometimes unclean and cumbersome HTML code that is generated by NetObjects Fusion.
NetObjects Fusion has a number of add-on applications, including: B. the Apollon Components or the SwissKnife for NOF components.
Since December 18, 2007 there is also the free version NetObjects Fusion Essentials.
Before the separation from NetObjects Incorporated, the software was developed and marketed by Website Pros, Inc. Since then, for example, the integrated partner program and the update function of the software no longer work.
Versions
- NetObjects Fusion 2015 is the current commercial version of the software.
- NetObjects Fusion Essentials is available as a free, privately-use version. The version Essentials has a very outdated version core. It contains the version 7.5 code.
