Net explosive mass
The net explosive mass (NEM) is defined in Germany as the mass of explosives (including phlegmatizers ) without their wrapping and packaging. The specification is a size that is used in legal regulations to regulate, for example, the maximum amount of fireworks in a sales room .
Such legal provisions are for example:
- Second Ordinance to the Explosives Act (2. SprengV), Germany
- Pyrotechnics Act (PyroTG 2010), Austria
- Explosives Ordinance (SprstV), Switzerland (there stated net amount of active explosives )
- zákon o pyrotechnice (2015), Czech Republic
EU Directive 2013/29 / EU, which aims to harmonize such legal provisions of the Member States on the provision of pyrotechnic articles, also uses the term net explosive mass .
