The New Synagogue in Sokal , a town in the Ukrainian Lviv Oblast , was built towards the end of the 19th century. The ruins of the Great Synagogue are in the immediate vicinity .

The building is square (16.45 × 16.46 m) and around 7.5 m high up to the beginning of the roof. The entrance area is in the west; there was also the two-story area for women. Behind it was the one-story main hall (the men's prayer room). This division can still be recognized today by the windows.

In the 1950s - 1970s, renovation work took place, with walls for additional rooms being drawn in in the entrance area.

Bima and Torah shrine are no longer there.

The former synagogue is in good condition and is now used as a public building.
