Neuromorphic
The term neuromorph was coined by Carver Mead in the late 1980s to describe very large scale integration systems that contain analog electronic circuits that resemble neurobiological structures in the nervous system . Today the term is used for both analog and digital as well as mixed analog-digital VLSI systems which use models of neural systems .
