Niḫirija
Niḫirija also Niḫrija ( Urartian URU Ni-ḫi-ri-a) was a city and country of the same name in southeastern Anatolia, which is documented by Hittite , Assyrian and Urartean sources. On the stele of Surb Pogos in Van, the Urartian king Sarduri II reports that he subdued Niḫirija. At that time it was the royal city of Arme .
Niḫirija is usually equated with Martyropolis (Neferkert / Nepčerkert / Mîyafariqîn, today Silvan east of Diyarbakır ). However, it was also proposed to Eğil on the Upper Tigris .
