The Niekao Lernwelten Publishing is a publisher of digital teaching materials that can be processed by the customer according to their own ideas. The offer mainly includes works by active teachers from primary and special schools.

The focus of the publishing activity is the creation of teaching materials for differentiated and individualized forms of teaching, in which teachers can take on the role of learning companions . In particular, teaching materials are published that have already been used by teachers in their own practice. The works are distributed in common formats (Word, PowerPoint, PDF) mostly by download or CD. In addition to the classic primary school subjects (math, German, specialist knowledge), the publisher's program also includes materials on the subjects of English, ethics, religion and special works to support children with challenges ( dyscalculia , reading, writing and concentration difficulties).
In 2015 around 40 authors, four graphic designers and six editors were active for the publisher. As a rule, between two to four works appear per week, which are sold through the company's own internet shop or large portals.
Company history
The publishing house was founded in 2006 as an imprint of H-Faktor GmbH, a research-related consulting company from Dortmund that specializes in questions of intergenerational and intercultural personnel management. It results from the research project “Nikao”, funded by the Ministry of Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2004 to 2006. Based on the project, NieKao-Lernwelten was chosen as the publisher's name. The publisher has been operating independently as a UG (limited liability) since October.
