The Nigeriafirst is an official government body (Public Communications Unit, Presidential Communications Unit) created in July 2002 in the multi-ethnic state of Nigeria with the mandate

• Prepare information about the government and distribute it publicly,
• Collect and manage information from ministries and other institutions.

A comparable institution in the FRG is the Federal Government's Press and Information Office .
