Nighthawk (Comics Series)

Nighthawk (Engl. Night Hawk ) is the US publisher of the title of a series of Western Comics DC Comics published since 1948 in irregular sequence.

The Nighthawk comics are about the adventures of a cowboy named Hannibal Hawkes who, together with his friend Jim Peyton, experiences all kinds of adventures common in the western genre. The first story in the series appeared in Western Comics # 5 from 1948. Until the 1980s, Nighthawk stories appeared in various western titles of the publisher. The series ended with Nighthawk's murder by his archenemy Matilda Roderic.
