Niky - the trucker
Niky - the Trucker is a comic series that was first published in Le Journal de Tintin in 1980 . The scenario and the drawings are from Dupa . In Germany, the comics appeared from 1987 to 1989 as a sequel in issues 629 to 636, 645 to 652 and 685 to 692 of the comic magazine Yps .
Emergence
Dupa got the idea for the comic while visiting a friend who lived next to a transport company. From his house he saw a truck and thought to himself, "When you travel the world in such a vehicle, the windshield becomes a television screen through which you can watch the world."

Three albums were released by éditions Lombard :
- 1985: Tome 1: Fausse note pour un camionneur ( Die Melonen -Fahrt , Yps issues 629 to 636, 1987/1988)
- 1986: Tome 2: Le huitième sarcophage ( The order from Egypt , Yps issues 645 to 652, 1988)
- 1988: Tome 3: Un iceberg au soleil ( The iceberg in the desert , Yps issues 685 to 692, 1989)
