Le Lombard or Lombard Editions is a Belgian comic book publisher founded in 1946 when Tintin magazine first appeared. Le Lombard has been part of Média-Participations since 1986 . Dargaud and Dupuis also belong to this group .

history

Les Éditions du Lombard was founded in 1946 by Raymond Leblanc . Because Leblanc wanted to publish a youth magazine and decided on Tintin (French: Tintin), his colleague André Sinave went to Tintin creator Hergé . This worked because of the war at Le Soir . After a conversation with his friend Edgar Pierre Jacobs , everyone agreed and so the first edition of Tintin was published on September 26, 1946 .

In 1986 Média-Participations acquired the publishing house.
