Andy Morgan ( Bernard Prince ) is a Franco-Belgian comic series published between 1966 and 2010 .
action
Andy Morgan was originally an Interpol agent and is now experiencing his adventures as the owner of the yacht Cormoran, with which he travels the oceans. The comical supporting role is the old sea dog Barney Jordan, the identification figure for the young readers is the orphan boy Djinn, who is called Ali in the German version.
background
Greg wrote the stories for Tintin , where he was also editor-in-chief. He handed the drawing part to the young Hermann , who also worked as an author on some short stories. Since there was already a detective series in Tintin with Rick Master , Andy Morgan became a pure adventure series. After a few short stories, longer adventures gradually emerged. In 1978, Hermann gave the series to Dany , who continued to draw until 1989. After all, Edouard Aidans was responsible for the drawings between 1992 and 1994. Greg died in 1999 and Hermann returned to the series as a writer with his son Yves H. in 2010 and released a new album.
publication
In Germany, the stories came in the magazine MV-Comix of the Ehapa- Verlag (1969-71, partly under its original title, partly under its German version as Bernhard Prinz ) and from 1972 to 1978 in Koralle in ZACK and the paperback Zack Parade for publication. In coral , the two first album editions appeared: When Zack Comic Box 6 published by the flames of hell Caranoa when Zack Box 19 followed Deadly Lava entitled plague on board .
The Bastion publishing began in 1985 with a regular album edition. However, this was discontinued after the third title.
In the most extensive German album edition, Carlsen Verlag continued the series in 1986 with No. 4 and later also re-published the Bastei albums, so that the series is available in 18 volumes in German in the Carlsen edition.
The 2010 Andy Morgan adventure was published on Kult Editions.
From 2010 to 2015, the Kult Editions publishing house published a high-quality complete edition in 19 volumes.
