IR $. is a Franco-Belgian comic series by Stephen Desberg and Bernard Vrancken that has been published since 1999 and revolves around a special investigator for the IRS . This has the special ability to track down suspicious money movements in tax returns.

Larry B. Max works as a special investigator for the IRS (United States Tax Administration ). Thanks to his ability to track down suspicious money movements in tax returns, he can track down cases of money laundering, tax evasion or corruption. A recurring element is his relationship with former actress Gloria Paradise , who now works for a phone sex company.
Each story spans a cycle of two volumes.

Between 2009 and 2011, IR $ appeared in quick succession . All Watcher , a seven-volume spin-off from the main series, with changing artists. The scenario came from the pen of Stephen Desberg . Larry B. Max follows a person in the series who attracts streams of money like a “black hole”.

Another four-volume spin-off from the main series was released from 2013 to 2014. The scenario is the same as with IR $. All Watcher always from the pen of Stephen Desberg.
In the run-up to a soccer world cup, Larry B. Max investigates players, agents and officials. In addition to cases of betting fraud and doping, it quickly becomes clear that the vote on the venue for the upcoming World Cup has also been manipulated. However, Max can count on numerous support. There is a reunion with Laroya (from volumes 13 and 14 of the main series), Mia Maï ( IR $. All Watcher ), as well as the agents Jared Gail and Scarlett Cossler from Desberg's series Empire USA .
The series has so far only appeared in French.
