The four volumes in total, which deal with the experiences of two young people in Alaska, were written and drawn by Bourgne himself. Subsequently, Bourgne was chosen by Dargaud as the follow-up draftsman for the series The Red Corsair . Based on texts by Christian Perrissin , Bourgne completed four albums here until the series was discontinued in 2004.

In parallel to his work on The Red Corsair , Bourgne and Frank Lincoln again designed a series he had written himself and which has been published by Glénat since 2000 . The location of the series about a private detective is again Alaska. Five volumes have appeared so far. Since 2006, Bourgne has also been involved as a draftsman in series that are implemented by several draftsmen due to their size and speed. He drew the second cycle (a total of four volumes) of the thirteen-part series Voyageur based on texts by Pierre Boisserie and Éric Stalner . He was also one of several subscribers to the IR $. -Spin-off IR $. All watcher involved. Since 2012 he has been a draftsman for the Michel Vaillant series alongside Benjamin Benéteau .

Occasionally Bourgne also works as a copywriter for other illustrators. From 2004 to 2006 he wrote the three-part series Vell'a for Franck Bonnet . He has also been writing the scripts for the series Les Pirates de Barataria for the same artist since 2009 .
