Aykut Ünyazıcı (born December 25, 1936 in Ankara ) is a former Turkish football player .

Career

Ünyazıcı began playing football in 1953 in the school team in Ankara and in 1955 also ran for the Turkish national youth team. During this time he also played for the capital club Ankara Güneşspor .

In 1958 he left Turkey to study mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig . On the high school team of TH from the defenders finally came to the amateur team of Eintracht Braunschweig and moved after half a year in the league cadres of the club on. On January 4, 1959, at the start of the second half, he made his debut in the 3-6 away defeat at Bremerhaven 93 in the league team of Eintracht Braunschweig. In the World Cup system practiced at the time, he acted on the right wing at the side of attacking colleagues Justus Eccarius , Werner Thamm , Jürgen Moll and Hans Hoffmann . At the end of the round, he had played in 13 league games in 1958/59 and scored two goals. In the next three rounds he came to the "Löwen" as a supplementary player. The Braunschweig defense was formed with goalkeeper Johannes Jäcker , defender pair Wolfgang Brase and Wolfgang Wolfram , and the runner row with Ünyazici, Walter Schmidt and Klaus Meyer . Overall, he came in the Oberliga Nord on 69 games with five goals.

In the first Bundesliga season 1963/64 he came to eight appearances and thus became the first Turkish player in the league. The Eintracht had strengthened against the league with the newcomers Peter Kaack , Hans-Georg Dulz and Dieter Paulsberg . On the twelfth match day, November 23, 1963, he made his debut in the 1: 2 away defeat at 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the Bundesliga. On half right he formed the attack in the team of the new coach Helmuth Johannsen with Klaus Gerwien , Manfred Wuttich , Hans-Georg Dulz and Jürgen Moll.

In the following season, Ünyazıcı played only one Bundesliga game - on September 5, 1964 in the 0-1 home defeat against MSV Duisburg - and returned to Turkey in 1965 to do military service there. Here he played in Ankara for two more years and then ended his active career. He took over the management of a construction business in Ankara.

Ünyazıcı was used a total of three times in the Lower Saxony selection, including in a 1959 game against FC Santos with the world star Pelé .
