Rimantas Daugelavičius
Rimantas Daugelavičius (born May 27, 1956 in Vilkiautinis , Varėna district ) is a Lithuanian biochemist.
Life
After graduating from high school in 1974 at Druskininkai Middle School , he graduated from Vilniaus universitetas in 1979 and received his doctorate in 1987 at the Institute of Biochemistry on the subject of "Bakterinių ląstelių membranos potencialo ir bakteriofagų depoliarizuojančio poveikio tyrimai". From 1998 he taught as a lecturer and from 2005 as a professor . From 1979 to 1988 he was a research assistant at the chair for biochemistry and biophysics , from 1998 to 2001 lecturer at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas , from 2000 to 2003 at the chair for chemistry at the Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universitetas .
Since 2010 he has been chairman of the Lithuanian Biochemists Association.
