Nkonya (people)

The Nkonya are a people in Togo and Ghana .

This ethnic group lives in the southeast of Ghana in a small settlement area north of the city of Ahenkro, west of the Volta reservoir . The 28,000-29,000 members of the Nkonya essentially belong to the traditional religions.

The Nkonya belong to the language family of the North Guang Group. They speak the Nkonya as their mother tongue.
