Nochmaaal is a series of film stories for children from 2 years. The series was originally released on DVD and has one topic per title / season. Each topic consists of 10-25 real films that deal with different aspects of the respective topic and are intended to entertain as well as convey knowledge. Six topics have currently appeared.

Concept, content

Nochmaaal is based on the personal experience of the filmmaker Ralf Herrmann that the children's programs on TV are often cut too quickly and are usually not suitable for the target group. The core of the idea is that children can look at things in detail and in peace and everything is explained in a child-friendly manner and packed into a story. The children can control how long they see something and how often they repeat it.

The films for children offer a glimpse of real life because they are real and not drawn or animated films. Each main topic contains different aspects, each of which is explained in a separate short film. This means that topics are dealt with in great detail and illuminated from many different angles. There are the following main topics:

  • At the fire department
  • Special vehicles
  • In the air


Emil, the hedgehog & Yoschi

The narrator from the OFF is a fictional character who appears in the picture at the end of each film and with the question " Nochmaaal " asks the children to repeat the film if they wish. The first two editions are about an animated Yeti named "Yoshi". In 2014 Yoschi was exchanged for a drawn and animated hedgehog with the name "Emil". In addition to the new titles, "On the construction site" and "On the farm" were also adapted and republished.

The first topics in 2005 were “On the farm” and “On the construction site” on DVD. The publisher Terzio was the partner for marketing these two titles. Terzio withdrew from the project in 2010. Then the publishing house was founded Erzwei. Over the years 4 more titles have been added. In addition to exchanging the narrative figure, the design of the menus and packaging was switched from pure drawings to more realistic images in 2010.

NEW EDITION FOR Download and Streaming 2019
The first titles ("Auf dem Bauernhof" and "Auf der Baustelle") from 2005 are produced in SD 4: 3. In order to be able to continue offering the stories in the future, both titles were newly produced (2018/2019). Essentially, this production (especially for the farm) took place on the same locations with the same people. Similar films have been made. The new version is currently not available on DVD, but only from streaming and download providers.
