Nogaro Bilbao was a Spanish ice hockey club from Bilbao , Basque Country , that played in the Superliga in the 1974/75 season .
history
Due to the rise in popularity of ice hockey in Spain in the 1970s, Nogaro Bilbao was founded in 1974, the first ice hockey club in Bilbao . The association was named after its seat, the Nogaro district. In the 1974/75 season, Nogaro ended the season on a disappointing eighth and thus last place, so that the club was dissolved again after only one year of its existence.
The void that Nogaro Bilbao left in the city was filled in the summer of 1975 when members of Nogaro founded a new club with a different venue, different funding and a different name. This new club, CH Casco Viejo Bilbao , has won six Spanish championships and one cup in its history .
