Nomenclature of Sources of Emission - Process List

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nomenclature of Sources of Emissions - Process List (NOSE-P) is a coding system introduced by the European Union for technical processes and procedures that cause emissions. This coding system was developed on the basis of the SNAP nomenclature used in CORINAIR (SNAP = Selected Nomenclature for Air Pollution). For the European Pollutant Emissions Register(EPER), a shortened, 5-digit NOSE-P code in the format xxx.xx was developed. These abbreviated NOSE-P codes for various economic activities that cause emissions are listed in Appendix A2 of the Commission's decision of July 17, 2000 on the establishment of a European Pollutant Emissions Register (EPER) in accordance with Article 15 of the Council Directive 96/61 / EC on integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) (2000/479 / EC).
