Noopsyche
The noopsyche is defined as that part of the mental life that affects the intellect , i.e. the cognitive part of the psyche , and is responsible for judgment, intelligence and thinking. The name is derived from the Greek word noos (or nous ) for mind and psyche for spirit or soul. A related term is cognition .
The noopsyche is contrasted with the thymopsyche and is composed of:
