nopCommerce is an open-source - E-commerce solution that version 2.x under ASP.NET MVC is developed 3.0. MS SQL 2005 (or higher) is used as the database server . The project is available under the nopCommerce Public License V2 and was launched in October 2008.

nopCommerce is an easily scalable and expandable e-commerce platform for small and medium-sized companies. In addition to the many common functions of e-commerce solutions such as B. multi-store, multi-vendor ( Drop Ship ), multi-warehouse, customer management, wish lists, discounts and coupons offers nopCommerce also flexible tax rates and change the language on a multilingual environment. The basic installation already includes support for the most common gateways: Authorize.net, PayPal, Google Wallet , 2Checkout and many more. nopCommerce also runs in Medium Trust.

Special features include the functions of order processing and warehousing, which are usually only found in a merchandise management system .

NopCommerce was a finalist at the Packt Open Source Award 2010 and 2011 and was awarded the E-Commerce Award.

nopCommerce is in the top 5 most downloaded applications made available by the Microsoft Web Platform Installer (as of June 2012). At Codeplex, nopCommerce is the 16th most downloaded application (as of June 2012).
