Norbert Seidl

Norbert J. Seidl (born September 23, 1963 in Freyung ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).

Career

Seidl grew up in Neuraimundsreut in the Bavarian Forest. His father was a councilor and deputy mayor. After graduating from high school in 1982 and doing basic military service as a paramedic in Kempten, Munich and Freyung, he began studying Catholic theology at the University of Munich in 1984 , which he completed with a diploma. At the same time, he studied to become a secondary school teacher for the subjects religion, mathematics, biology and music. From 1992 on he taught as a secondary school teacher in various schools in Munich.

His political career began in 1989 when he joined the SPD local association in Neuhausen. In 1991 he moved to Puchheim , where he became a member of the board of the local SPD association in 2007. On November 9, 2010, he moved into the Puchheim municipal council and was a member of the finance committee. In July 2012 he was elected mayor of Puchheim.
