Normal field

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Normal field stands for

  • the normalized size of a pit field, see quarter field
  • the magnetic or gravity field, which is not determined by inhomogeneities in the earth's crust, but by the properties of the entire earth. The actual measurements at points on the earth's surface deviate from the normal field by a so-called anomaly, see Magnetic Anomaly or Gravity Anomaly
  • a collection of two opposing discourses on one and the same complex of topics in the social science theory of normalism . The discourses that are ultimately the basis of normalization are divided into protonormalistic and flexible-normalistic.
