Norvin (motorcycle)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With Norvin a is motorcycle referred to which consists of a V-type engine is made ( "fork engine") and a Norton-spring bed frame. The V-twin engine of the Vincent with a displacement of 1000 cm³ was superior to the chassis, so that individual manufacturers and hobbyists built the V-twin engine of the Vincent into the duvet frame of the Norton .

Norvin is not an independent motorcycle brand, but a self-made motorcycle. The Norton had the "better" landing gear frame - designed by the McCandless brothers - but the "worse" engine, e.g. B. in Norton Manx. The naming came from the two manufacturers: Vincent and Norton.

Today the Norvin is a sought-after collector's item and achieves top prices at auctions of classic vehicles.
