New release

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the areas of publishing and recording, the most recently produced, current products of a publisher or record company are considered to be new releases or novelties , based on a specific, regular time interval.

The time intervals between new publications can vary greatly. In a general trade book publisher, there are for example two New Release dates per year, the spring releases and the fall releases.

A school book publisher or a calendar publisher, on the other hand, only has one interval, the school year or the calendar year. Magazine publishers have shorter intervals: quarterly or monthly to weekly publications determine the rhythm of the new publications.

everyday life

In everyday parlance, the term new appearance is used for everything that appears to be "new" in the colloquial sense. In linguistic terms, the term neologism is used for actually new word creations that have been adopted into common linguistic usage and are not just temporary fads .
