Nucleus emboliformis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nucleus emboliformis ("graft nucleus", syn. Nucleus interpositus anterior ) is a core area in the cerebellum . In humans, it is about 1.5 cm tall and gets its afferents from the spino- and pontocerebellum (→ cerebellar structure ). Its efferents pass over the upper cerebellar stem to the nucleus ruber on the opposite side.
