OTC bulletin board

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The OTC Bulletin Board ( OTCBB ) is an American trading system on which over- the -counter ( OTC ) trades are recorded. Like NASDAQ and Xetra , it is an electronic trading platform in which, among other things, prices, times and volumes are recorded. The shares are traded on the NASDAQ OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol NDAQ.

Compared to regular stock exchange trading, for example on the NYSE , the (transparency) requirements for companies that have their trading prices recorded on the platform are much lower. Since there is no “real” exchange trading in OTC transactions, the name of the listing or listing cannot be used for companies listed on OTCBB; the respective share prices are not considered representative.
