The shopping center Máj , today My , was build in 1975 shopping center in the Národní in Prague . It is an important building in Czech architecture of the 1970s.

history

The building's architects were John Eisler , Miroslav Masák and Martin Rajniš from the SIAL studio (from Liberec ), which was founded in 1968 by Karel Hubáček . As with Karel Hubáček's Ještěd TV tower , there was great enthusiasm for the building in the west. After the fall of the Wall, Tesco bought the building and later renamed it My . In 2006 the building was named a Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic . In 2009 the building was renovated .

The building has seven floors and three cellars , with the first to fourth floors being used as sales rooms. The administration and canteen are on the fifth floor, the management is on the sixth, and the technology such as air conditioning is on the seventh . On the roof there is the possibility to see the panorama of the city of Prague. A warehouse is set up in the second basement and a data center is located in the third basement .
