Surface measurement

In chemistry , surface measurement is used to determine the specific surface area of a powder. There are several procedures:

• Sorption processes in which the specific surface is determined by adsorption of gases , e.g. B. the BET measurement
• Photometric process
• Perfusion method , for example with the Blaine device

In geophysics , the term surface measurement is used to summarize a group of measurement methods that all measure from the earth's surface, but usually serve the subsurface as the object to be measured.
