Dushanbe trolleybus

The Dushanbe trolleybus is the only trolleybus operator in Tajikistan . The trolleybus service in the capital Dushanbe was opened on May 2, 1955 and today consists of eight lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 and 14. Mostly vehicles of the type SiU-9 from Russian production are used, Furthermore, in 1999 some Hungarian Ikarus omnibuses were converted into trolleybuses.

A second Tajik trolleybus operation existed in Khujand from 1970 to 2010 .
