The Supreme Administrative Court ( Polish: Naczelny Sąd Administracyjny ) is the highest authority in administrative matters in the Republic of Poland . In addition to the appeal of the administrative judiciary, there is the constitutional court , which basically only examines the violation of constitutional law.
history
The Supreme Administrative Court followed the Supreme Administrative Court, which existed from 1921 to 1952, but had not met since 1939. After the German invasion of Poland, the Supreme Administrative Court ceased its work and did not resume work after 1945. In 1952 it was dissolved.
In 1980 the Supreme Administrative Court was established. Its competencies were reorganized in 1995 and 2002.
Legal basis
The legal basis for the jurisdiction and activity of the Supreme Court is the Polish Constitution, the 2002 Law on the Supreme Administrative Court.
Judge
The President of Poland appoints the judges of the Supreme Administrative Court at the request of the State Judicial Council. Like all judges in Poland, Supreme Court judges enjoy criminal immunity.

The organs of the Tribunal include the First President of the Tribunal, the Presidents of the Courts of each Chamber, the General Assembly of Judges of the Supreme Court and the College.
First President of the Court
The President of the Court of First Instance is chosen by the President from among two Supreme Court judges who are internally nominated as candidates by the General Assembly of the Supreme Administrative Court. His term of office is six years. The current president is Marek Zirk-Sadowski .

The budget of the Supreme Administrative Court is set in the annual budget. In 2019, the expenditure was around PLN 525 million and the income was around PLN 55 million.
