Open work with the disabled

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Open handicapped work (mostly abbreviated as OBA ) is often practiced by the social services groups within the auxiliary services . These groups look after people with predominantly physical disabilities in various projects and enable them e.g. B. participation in social and cultural events (attending city festivals, Christmas markets, church services).

Often, regional providers also offer travel options (one or more days, alone or in groups). The travelers are accompanied by assistants.

The open Behindertenarbeit creates meeting places for people with and without disabilities . More important than the roles of helper and participant is the shared and inclusive experience and design of leisure time .
