Ohsam is a German or Transylvanian-Saxon family name.

Origin, meaning and distribution

The name was derived from the baptismal name after the Catholic Saint Erasmus . In the German-speaking minority of the Transylvanian Saxons in what is now Romania , it was especially widespread in Braller (Romanian Bruiu ) and Rohrbach (Romanian Rodbav ).
