Okroshka ( Russian окрошка , from крошить , crumble ) is a Russian national dish .

The cold soup is made from sour cream (optionally also simple buttermilk or kefir ), sausage ( Lyoner ), hard-boiled egg, radishes, potatoes, parsley, chives, dill and cucumber. It is usually seasoned with hot mustard , pepper and salt. There is also a method of preparation that involves mixing it with kvass .
