Octar
Oktar († 430) was a ruler of the European Huns in the 5th century and an uncle of Attila .
He and his brother Rua ruled over a large part of the European Huns around 430, with Oktar ruling in the west. Details about him are not known. The late antique church historian Socrates reports that Oktar died as a result of an overeating meal while he was waging war against the Burgundians (Socrates, 7, 30).
