The girls'  foil fencing fencing competitions of  the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games  in Buenos Aires was  held on the first day of the Games, October 7th, in the Africa Pavilion of  the Olympic Park  ( Parque Olímpico de la Juventud  ).
Yuka Ueno  from Japan won the title . She won the title superior and was able to win all fights in the tournament. In a tightly contested final, she defeated the Italian Martina Favaretto  . Ueno defeated Favaretto in the final of the Junior World Championships in April of that year. The US-American May Tieu  secured bronze very tightly against the Venezuelan Anabella Acurero,  the first medal of the 2018 youth games for the USA. At the 2018 Cadet World Championships, one day after the Junior World Championships, Ueno won the final against Tieu and Favaretto. There were no participants from the German-speaking area.
