Omar Blanco (born July 17, 1975 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .
Life
society
Blanco began his professional career in the 1995/96 season with his hometown club Atlas Guadalajara . At the end of the season he moved to Deportivo Toluca FC , with whom he won three championship titles in the following six years . He then played again each time with his former clubs: from 2002 to 2004 for Atlas and in his last season 2004/05 for Toluca.
National team
Blanco made his debut in the dress of the Mexican national team on September 20, 2000 in a 2-0 win over Ecuador. His last international appearance was on March 7, 2001 in a game with many goals against Brazil (3: 3).
