Onutė Narbutaitė
Onutė Narbutaitė (born June 12, 1956 in Vilnius , Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic ) is a Lithuanian composer.
Life
Narbutaitė attended the Čiurlionis Art School with Bronius Kutavičius and until 1979 at the Art Academy with Julius Juzeliūnas . From 1979 to 1982 she taught music theory and history at the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Conservatory . Since then she has lived as a freelance composer in Vilnius.
In 1997 she was awarded the Lithuanian Art and Culture Prize for the oratorio Centones meae urbi .
