Opera de Toulon

The Opéra de Toulon is an opera company in the French port city of Toulon .

The house was built by Léon Feuchère between 1860 and 1862 and completed by Théodore Charpentier. It was inaugurated on October 12, 1862 (the construction inspired the creation and construction of the Paris National Opera, which opened 13 years later).

In 1988 it was classified as a Historic Monument by France. It has 1329 seats and is one of the largest opera houses in France.
