OpenCart is a free online shop system.

development

The development is based on an MVC framework, which is developed exclusively for the shop system.

properties

An important feature of OpenCart is the largely free design and functions (through the use of a template engine ) and the possibility of implementing one or more of many modules (additional programs ) in the software . For example, payment modules from third-party providers such as PayPal can be integrated into the transaction process in order to be able to offer customers cashless payment transactions .

The shop system is written in the server-side script language PHP , MySQL is used as the database system.

Administration and configuration takes place via a web browser .

Further development

Thanks to an active community , we are constantly working on the further development and improvement of the system. In addition to the current version, there is also a previous version 0.7.9, which has been improved by the users.

System requirements

The current version series 1.x requires sufficient web space , PHP from version 5.xx and a MySQL database from version 4.xx depending on the number of articles
