Open Container Initiative

The Open Container Initiative (OCI) is a project of the Linux Foundation to open standards for virtualization to design the operating system level, especially Linux - container . Two specifications are currently under development and in use: runtime specification (runtime-spec) and image specification (image-spec).

OCI develops runC , a container runtime that implements the OCI specification and serves as the basis for other higher-level tools.
