Open Disk Imager in a Nutshell

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Open Disk Imager in a Nutshell ( ODIN ) is free Windows software under the GNU General Public License (GPL) that allows a partition to be cloned by creating a memory image of a source partition , which is then written to a target partition can.

Technical features

The software only copies the clusters used by the file system , so that the generated image file only has the size of the data content of the partition. This allows image files to be written to destination partitions that are smaller than the source partition.
