Herlinde Rothauer (born February 24, 1941 in Brno ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) at rest. Rothauer was a city ​​councilor in Vienna and a member of the Federal Council .

Rothauer attended primary school in Vienna from 1947 to 1951 and then a humanistic grammar school in Vienna until 1959. She then studied architecture, spatial planning and interior design at the Technical University of Vienna and graduated in 1973 with the academic degree Dr. techn. from. In 1978 she passed the civil engineering examination.

From 1971 to 1974 Rothauer completed several internships in various architecture and spatial planning offices and from 1974 to 1991 was a consultant for spatial planning in the Chamber of Commerce . From 1991 to 2001 she held the management function in the department for urban planning and transport policy in the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. In addition, from 1986 to 1991 she was a lecturer at the Vienna University of Technology, Faculty of Spatial Planning and Architecture.

Rothauer was a member of the Vienna City Council and a member of the Vienna State Parliament from 1989 to 2001 and was elected city councilor and member of the Vienna State Government on April 27, 2001 (see State Government and City Senate Häupl III ). Rothauer held the office until November 18, 2005 and left the office when the new city government was sworn in. Rothauer did not hold a separate department in the Vienna city government. Rothauer was also a member of the Federal Council from December 20, 2002 to January 16, 2003.
