Operation Texas

Operation Texas was a measure carried out from 1938 by the then American Congressman and later US President Lyndon B. Johnson and others, which enabled Jewish refugees from Europe to enter Texas with valid papers via Cuba , South America and Mexico .

The Austrian conductor Erich Leinsdorf (1912–1993) was among those who entered Operation Texas .
