Victim camera

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A victim camera or crash cam is a camera that is assumed to be destroyed during the shoot.

Accordingly, old and cheap cameras are often used. For example, such a camera can be installed on the roof of a building to be blown up in order to get spectacular images. Often the camcorder's recording function is not used , but the images are sent to an external recorder via cable or radio , as the camcorder's storage medium would likely be destroyed.
