Opuscula Tibetana: Works from the Tibet Institute Rikon-Zurich is a German-language monographic series that was published by the Tibet Institute Rikon in Zurich from 1971 to 2004 . It contains a wide variety of writings on the subject of Tibet , in particular on Tibetan Buddhism . A total of 34 volumes were published. The monastic institute in Tösstal came into being at the request of the 14th Dalai Lama . The facility not only looks after the Tibetans in Switzerland , but also makes an important contribution to preserving Tibetan culture and maintaining the dialogue between East and West.
