Orchestra attendants carry out assembly, conversion, dismantling and transport work for orchestras . You transport z. B. chairs and music stands as well as musical instruments between rehearsal rooms and venues and set them up in the given order. They also ensure that equipment and notes are always in good condition and, if necessary, carry out minor touch-ups or repairs.

Orchestra attendants work mainly at opera houses or for philharmonic and symphony orchestras . They can also work for radio orchestras .

Access

There is no legally regulated training for a job as an orchestra attendant. Knowledge of orchestral operations, musical knowledge and IT and language skills are an advantage.
