It was donated in 1290 and the aim was to sensitize knights to the times of need and danger.

An order of the old hoe , which was mainly dedicated to cultivating friendship among its members, was founded by the Imperial Privy Council, Governor of the Principality of Schweidnitz-Jauer , Count Johann Anton von Schaffgotsch (1675–1742), who was involved in the implementation as the Imperial Commissioner the Altranstädter Convention was significantly involved.
